Discretion and elegance
Located on the Great Staircase and in the corners flanking each side of the Balcony of Honour, the two glass roofs are discrete and elegant. They are made up of a small round skylight window and a vertical niche that will be reopened and decorated with opalescent glass to let in the light. They are stylishly enhanced by both the mignonette green highlights on the surrounding metal structures and the mosaic floor.
Private areas
Like little enclaves on this monumental staircase, the windows create intimate corners that can be used as select areas set aside for special use during events taking place in the Nave. They also give a sense of depth to the balcony and the Great Staircase.
