This modern and contemporary art fair has been a regular feature in the Nave since 2006. In the prestigious surroundings of the Grand Palais, the exhibition is ideally located in the heart of the French capital.

In 2006, Art Paris was one of the first events to take up its quarters under the glass roof of the newly restored Grand Palais, and has been back every year. Since it was inaugurated in 1998, Art Paris has, in the last decade, become a highlight on the international art calendar and a major event on the Paris scene.

A meeting point for professionals of the modern and contemporary art markets, the show each year draws a growing number of loyal collectors and art-lovers (41,000 visitors in 2008).

The 2009 edition is special: more contemporary and international than ever. 115 galleries from some twenty different countries are represented in the Nave of the Grand Palais with the best of artistic creativity from the 20th and 21st centuries in the forms of painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video…

Moreover cartoons are making their maiden appearance and take centre stage. The photo section has been expanded: 15 international galleries specialised in contemporary photography are in the Nave to illustrate one of the most dynamic trends on the market.

For the 4th year in succession, the Art Paris show was held in the Grand Palais. The 2010 edition introduced a new concept: Art Paris + Guests. Instead of just a series of booths, Art Paris + Guests presented exclusive artistic projects in which the exhibitors worked with "guest" partners from the worlds of literature, design, cinema, and gastronomy… This new concept pushes back the boundaries of traditional art exhibitions, creating a new format for a modern and contemporary art fair.

For the sixth year running, the Nave of the Grand Palais hosted ArtParis, a show that, in less than fifteen years, has established itself as one of the major events of the spring season. From March 31 to April 3, over 120 international contemporary and modern art and design galleries representing 17 countries came together under the same roof. The show drew 38,505 visitors who discovered a host of exclusive and original projects, and geographical and thematic platforms.

Edition 2012 : At the end of March, the contemporary and modern art fair, Art Paris Art Fair, had host 125 international galleries and publishers under the glass-domed roof of the Grand Palais. An informal event, Art Paris Art Fair was open to all practising artists, and attracts over 4,000 visitors, professionals and art lovers.
