Administration

For over a hundred years, life at the Grand Palais has been one of constant excitement. A facility on a grand scale, the building is today run by the Etablissement public de la Réunion des musées nationaux et du Grand Palais des Champs-Elysées (Rmn-Grand Palais), an administrative body under the presidency of Jean-Paul Cluzel.

When the Établissement public du Grand Palais came into being in January 2007 this marked a turning point in the building’s history: for the first time since the edification of the building it was to be overseen by a single organization.

In 2011, a new milestone was reached with the merger of the Etablissement public du Grand Palais and the Réunion des musées nationaux under the terms of a government decree published on January 13 2011. Jean-Paul Cluzel, who was already President of the Grand Palais and of the Board of Directors of the Rmn, is now president of the new Etablissement public de la Rmn-Grand Palais by virtue of a decree published on January 20 2011. His mandate will run for 5 years.
