To the museum with the children, as a family

13 January 2009

To the museum as a family (individual)

Organised tours

Discovery tours (or guided tours)
These are tours that the guides specially organise for young people. Several themes are available depending on the collections and the age of the children. They join a group…and off they go on a tour!
Some museums offer guided family tours, particularly at the weekend.

Workshop tours
The museums also organise workshop groups for people. They enable them to discover the artworks and to try out a graphic or plastic art activity: drawing, painting, modelling etc. They can take their work home with them.

A tour or a workshop, it’s best to book!

Celebrating your birthday at the museum

You can celebrate your birthday at the museum! Some museums offer an area for children wanting to celebrate their birthday in original surroundings. This isn’t really a form of visit assistance, rather another way of using the museum through combining celebration and discovery.
