Exhibition Cartier : the gala

This application traces Cartier’s extraordinary history through a presentation of some of its most striking clients, ranging from Empress Eugénie, Marie Bonaparte, the British royal family, the maharajas of Patiala, and the Duchess of Windsor to Daisy Fellowes, Gloria Swanson, Princess Grace of Monaco, María Félix, and Elizabeth Taylor.

Perhaps because it has been eclipsed by its famous name and the sparkle of its diamonds, too little is known even now about the rich and complex history of this great house of jewellery.
