Basketball made its maiden appearance at the Grand Palais with the visit of playground star LeBron James, voted NBA's Most Valuable Player for the 2008-9 season. Organised by Nike, the event gave talented youngsters in the 14-16 age group a chance to live the dream: a coaching session from their idol! Matches and dunks (shooting contests) were on the programme of this outstanding two-day event that also featured star players Tony Parker and Mike Pietrus.
