Paris + par Art Basel 2023

Paris+ par Art Basel is a fair for Modern and contemporary art, taking in the French capital. Paris+ par Art Basel builds bridges with France’s cultural industries – from fashion and design to film and music – to create a flagship event radiating throughout the city and embedded in Paris and its cultural scene.

Once again this year, the "Ateliers d'art de la Rmn-Grand Palais" and "la Chalcographie du Louvre" will be exhibiting on a dedicated stand!

This is an opportunity to discover the expertise of our workshops and the Louvre's commitment to this art of excellence, through its engraving commissions from contemporary artists. Discover the work of artist Jean-Marie Appriou, invited by the Musée de Louvre to collaborate with the craftsmen of the Rmn-Grand Palais art workshops to engrave a print paying tribute to the institution.

The artist was also asked to create a case to display his work on the stand. She was given carte blanche to draw on the studio's archive prints, printed from the original Chalcographie du Louvre plates. The artist has made a selection that resonates with his dreamlike, fantastical world, to initiate a wider dialogue with the Louvre's collection.
