En attendant l'ouverture de l'exposition "Peintres femmes" au Musée du Luxembourg, découvrez le hors série sur les Femmes du site L'Histoire par l'image !
L’Histoire par l’image publie un hors-série sur les femmes avec plus de 200 études sur des thématiques aussi diverses que les femmes et le travail, les femmes de spectacle, les femmes et la Révolution, la prostitution, les mouvements féministes, la mode, le vote des femmes… Ce hors-série entend éclairer leurs conditions de vie, leurs rôles dans la société et leurs évolutions.
L'exposition Peintres femmes prochainement au Musée du Luxembourg présentera le combat de femmes artistes entre 1780 et 1830 pour leur droit à la formation, leur professionnalisation, leur existence publique et leur place sur le marché de l’art. Ces artistes femmes furent tant les actrices de ces changements sociaux que des mutations de l’art du XIXe siècle.
