Ce mercredi 13 avril à l'Auditorium du Grand Palais, venez assister gratuitement à la conférence "Au-delà des clichés, une histoire en noir et blanc", dans le cadre de l'exposition Seydou Keïta.

Conférence à deux voix par Catherine Coquery-Vidrovitch, historienne, spécialiste de l’histoire du continent africain et professeur émérite de l'Université Paris Diderot et Anne Grosfilley, ethnologue, spécialiste des textiles et de la mode en Afrique
L’omniprésence des textiles dans les photographies de Seydou Keïta, des vêtements aux toiles de fonds, renvoie à une histoire des échanges entre l’Europe et l’Afrique. Une rencontre avec l’historienne Catherine Coquery-Vidrovitch et l’ethnologue Anne Grosfilley nous invite à décrypter ce dialogue des cultures et à découvrir comment le Mali et l’Afrique de l’Ouest se sont réappropriés des objets et des influences d’ailleurs, notamment apportées par l’Occident.
