The Palais des enfants opens its doors with a playful and poetic exhibition on the theme of transparency! From June 20, 2025 to August 29, 2027, children aged 2 to 10 are invited to awaken their curiosity, hone their scientific critical thinking skills and enjoy sensitive experiences in a journey blending art and science - to be discovered with the whole family.

A fascinating journey to the heart of light

The Palais des enfants inaugurates its very first exhibition with a fascinating theme: transparency. From light passing through glass to water reflections or optical illusions, this playful, sensitive and poetic experience invites the youngest visitors to explore a world as captivating as it is elusive.

Ice palaces, mysterious forests, mineral caves, sunny skies or sparkling oceans... Transparency is all around us. In this immersive exhibition designed from a child's perspective, it becomes material for play, discovery and wonder.

Art installations, sculptures, prints and photographs sit alongside experimental spaces, games and interactive manipulations, to make every visit a groundbreaking field of exploration.

Children discover how light sneaks in, how matter transforms, how perception has fun deceiving us...

From immersive works by Dan Graham and Soo Sunny Park to delicate creations by Patrick Neu or Agathe May, via 19th-century pieces, the exhibition offers a rich dialogue between contemporary works and scientific discoveries.

A space for discovery and experimentation

The exhibition isn't just contemplative, it invites children to manipulate, experiment and question!"

Thanks to interactive devices, children experiment as they play: colored filters, materials with surprising textures, luminous prisms, moving shadows... A journey to see the world differently, question their perceptions and stimulate their scientific curiosity.

Conferences, workshops and meetings will complete this sensory journey on the theme of transparency.
