Pendant la fermeture pour travaux de rénovation, le théâtre du Châtelet s'exporte hors-les-murs et investit la nef du Grand Palais du 28 novembre 2017 au 11 janvier 2018
Présentée pour la première fois sur la scène du Châtelet en mars 2015, cette production 100% Châtelet avait rencontré un accueil triomphal.
Une mise en scène brillante et truffée de surprises signée Robert Carsen, le glamour de costumes dignes de l’âge d’or d’Hollywood, une partition inoubliable, une chorégraphie décoiffante et une distribution de talentueux triple threats (danseurs-chanteurs-comédiens) : tels sont les ingrédients à l’origine de l’immense succès critique et populaire de cette oeuvre culte, emblématique de la direction de Jean-Luc Choplin.
D’abord rendue célèbre grâce à Hollywood par Gene Kelly dans le film culte de la MGM, Singin’ in the Rain, qui raconte le bouleversement de l’industrie du cinéma et du métier de comédien avec le passage du cinéma muet au parlant, est sans aucun doute la comédie musicale la plus célèbre de tous les temps.
