Expo Noir & Blanc : l'essentiel de l'exposition

Dans la suite des grandes expositions photographiques organisées dans la Galerie Sud-Est, Noir & Blanc présentera près de 300 tirages emblématiques des impressionnantes collections de la Bibliothèque nationale de France – Département des Estampes et de la Photographie (BnF).

Des oeuvres de photographes majeurs, français et étrangers, du 19e siècle à nos jours, révèleront la puissance et la richesse plastique du noir et blanc.

Le cheminement thématique mettra en valeur ce mode d’expression. Après un prologue rappelant quelques procédés pionniers de la photographie du 19e siècle, l’exposition se déclinera en 3 grandes sections : Objectif : contraste ; Ombre et lumière ; Nuancier de matières. Enfin, un épilogue posera une question ouverte sur le Noir et Blanc en couleurs.
