100 drummers from all walks of life take over the Nave of the Grand Palais to perform in unison a symphony written and directed by Lucie Antunes. A powerful collective experience.
How can 100 drums coexist? How can one conceive the unison of 100 of the loudest instruments, relying on listening, silence, and collective spirit?
Titled Symphonie Tribalisme, en 4 mouvements, this trance-like work brings together 100 people who don't know each other and come to share the same passion for music, under the baton of Lucie Antunes. A rare collective energy is born of this encounter: that of an ephemeral community celebrating in a powerful musical gesture the opportunity to play together, to form a body and unite in the face of the world's tensions. Seventeen demanding, unifying minutes of timbre and color. Seventeen minutes to say, through the force of the work, that it's always possible to be together, to create, to share and to live together joyfully. Or furiously.
From this meeting emerges a rare collective energy: that of a temporary community celebrating, through a powerful musical gesture, the opportunity to play together, become one body, and unite in the face of the world’s tensions. Seventeen demanding and unifying minutes, exploring timbres and tonal colors. Seventeen minutes to declare, through the strength of the work, that it is always possible to be together, create, share, and coexist joyfully. Or furiously.

About Lucie Antunes
Lucie Antunes is a composer, musician, performer, artistic director and stage director. From an early age, she developed a passion for music, and trained in a rather classical way, earning multiple conservatory prizes and a Master’s degree from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon. In 2013, Lucie explored pop music, establishing herself as a dynamic and eclectic drummer-percussionist by performing with Moodoïd and Aquaserge, two decidedly eccentric pop-rock bands, as well as with Susheela Raman and the electronic musician Yuksek. This involvement in other artists’ music quickly sparked her desire to focus on her own music. From 2015, she began creating electro-acoustic pieces to accompany the shows she directed. Lucie has since multiplied her collaborations with choreographers, performers and musicians as a matter of necessity. Following the success of her first album "Sergeï" (2019), , where synthetic soundscapes intertwine with the delicate tones of her vibraphone, Lucie released her EP "LNM" in 2021, followed in 2022 by "Sergeï Deluxe Edition", a live recording of her performances at the Chorus festival in Paris. In 2023, she released Carnaval, her second album, while her third album, Silence, is scheduled for 2026. Lucie Antunes is an associate artist at Centquatre-Paris, La Comète in Châlons-en- Champagne and Le Quartz in Brest.
