Between breakdance and contemporary dance, imbalance and attempted control, an exploration of the fragility of the moment and the persistence of movement. Acrobatic figures, impacts and rebounds punctuate this quest for impossible balance.
What if we stopped being afraid of falling? What if falling became a playground, a sensory experience? Dead leaf explores this fragile and fascinating state where the body gives way, bounces, collapses and rises again.
Through a hybrid language, blending breakdance and contemporary dance, eight dancers engage in a ballet as chaotic as it is precise, an oscillation between tension and harmony. They fall, alone or together, never too far from each other. As if the fall were not just a descent, but a dialogue, a shared necessity. To fall in order to rise again. Like the image of a man diving off a building not to disappear, but to experience a second of absolute freedom.
Here, bodies don't crash, they reinvent movement. The dancers oscillate between resistance and letting go, between frustration and fluidity, creating a dance where understanding comes through sensation. Dead leaf is an immersion in the instinctive, an organic journey where the fall is no longer an end but a passage.
