After four years of work, we're gradually opening the doors to the restored Grand Palais, with palpable impatience and renewed wonder. The wait has been worth it. This historic monument, witness to so many events and innovations, is regaining its former splendor, while adapting to modern uses.

Waiting for the official opening of the major exhibitions in June, the monument is gradually being unveiled in a new light. More fluid, more welcoming, more alive than ever. Every space has been designed to create an unprecedented link between the site and its visitors. The place is preparing to vibrate to the rhythm of its time, with you.

The architecture, carefully preserved, now dialogues with the present. Behind the stones and glass roofs, a vision takes shape: that of a Grand Palais rooted in its heritage, but resolutely turned towards the future. As soon as you take your first steps, it reveals itself in a totally new light, to be fully discovered as soon as the major exhibitions open in June.

Towards a first discovery

Vestiaires

We begin our exploration with a space hidden from view until now: the underpinnings of the Grand Palais. Beneath your feet, the architecture reveals its secrets: here, bricks, stone and metal structures reveal another facet of the monument.

Once inaccessible, these basements, conceived as a place of passage and life, are now transformed into a welcoming space. From June onwards, you'll find changing rooms, but also relaxation areas, like these picnic areas that invite us to take a break. A little further on, two bleachers nestled under the stairs will offer an ideal gathering place for school classes on a school visit.

Accessible from the Place Centrale via two new staircases, this space leads to another surprise: the Palais des enfants. This is where history and the future meet, between the memory of the place and future generations.
