K comme kaolin
Le kaolin est une argile blanche que les potiers utilisent pour fabriquer les porcelaines.
Le kundan est une technique de joaillerie qui permet un sertissage sans griffes et à température ambiante. Un creux est laissé dans la structure de l’objet pour recevoir la pierre. L’orfèvre insère ensuite de très fines bandes d’or tout autour de la pierre. Il les met en forme à l’aide d’un burin et d’un brunissoir. L’or est si pur qu’il n’est pas nécessaire de le chauffer, une simple pression suffit.
