When Eddy de Pretto's voice meets Maud Le Pladec's choreography, the stage becomes a living club where bodies and emotions mingle and vibrate together. An exceptional choreographed concert to experience in the Nave, closing the summer Grand Palais shows!
Initiated by Chaillot-Théâtre national de la Danse and redesigned especially for the Grand Palais, Lonely Club is an ode to chorus and bodies.
This choreographed concert was born from the encounter with Eddy de Pretto’s voice, words, and presence. Here, dance becomes a sensitive extension of his universe: a rhythmic, tense, sometimes fragile writing, where each performer searches for their place among the others. Like in a club, bodies draw close, brush against each other, and get lost in the group. Dance emerges from this collective movement, from this shared warmth, where one sometimes comes to find a moment for oneself. The choreography unfolds within this physical tension, between the desire for connection and the need for withdrawal, between shared energy and intimate space.
This project takes root in a feeling that has accompanied me for a long time: being surrounded, yet feeling alone. Being there physically, without always feeling fully present. Moving toward the group, trying to blend in, without ever fully succeeding. About Maud Le Pladec and Eddy de Pretto
Maud Le Pladec
Chorographer and director of CCN - Ballet de Lorraine since January 2025, Maud Le Pladec first trained at the Centre chorégraphique national de Montpellier before collaborating as a performer with figures such as Mathilde Monnier, Boris Charmatz and Loïc Touzé. Winner of the Prix de la Révélation Chorégraphique in 2010 for Professor, she has since developed a body of work marked by dialogue between dance, contemporary music and female voices, notably with Democracy, Hunted or Silent Legacy (Festival d'Avignon, 2022). Director of the Centre chorégraphique national d'Orléans from 2017 to 2022, she has also collaborated with major institutions such as the Opéra de Paris, Montpellier Danse, Sadler's Wells and the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Ceremonies, where she was Dance Director. Maud Le Pladec is an Officier in the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and a Chevalier in the Ordre National du Mérite. In 2024, she received the SACD Special Prize for her contribution to the Paris Olympic Ceremonies.
Eddy de Pretto
Since his first EP Kid (2017), Eddy de Pretto has been shaking up codes with raw lyrics and intense emotions, exploring questions of difference, constraint, and masculinity. His first album, Cure (2018), takes part in his generation's evolutions, and earns him a triple platinum disc and four Victoires de la musique nominations. His second album À tous les bâtards (2021), certified platinum, confirms the artist's unifying and popular character. With CRASH CŒUR, Eddy imposes an intense, magnetic universe, which he defended for a year and a half on over 70 dates, offering a live performance where tension and fragility mingle, sublimating his hits in an exceptional staging.
