Le Parisien et 20 Minutes lèvent aujourd'hui le voile sur une des oeuvres de l'exposition Carambolages
« Et le soleil s’endormit sur l’Adriatique ». Voici le nom de la toile, peinte par un certain Joachim-Raphaël Boronali exposée au salon des Indépendants en 1910.
Ce peintre inconnu juqu’à lors, se veut en outre théoricien de « l’Excessivisme », dont il publie le Manifeste dans une revue.
En réalité il s’agit d’un canular, monté par Roland Dorgelès, et deux complices qui avaient fait peindre cette toile par un âne à la queue duquel était attaché un pinceau.
Le jeune Dorgelès expliqua ensuite avoir voulu « montrer aux niais, aux incapables et aux vaniteux qui encombrent une grande partie du Salon des Indépendants
que l’œuvre d’un âne, brossée à grands coupe de queue, n’est pas déplacée parmi leurs œuvres »
Elle sera en tous cas en bonne place dans l’exposition Carambolages.
