The health crisis in 2020 forced all muse- ums, including SCN museums, to close their doors to the public for two long periods: - from March to June; - from October to the end of 2020. When open, the reception and admis- sions service took numerous steps to ensure Covid restrictions were complied with and protective measures applied. Like all cultural sites and venues receiving the public, reception and sales areas had to change their layouts and install plexi- glass panels at checkouts and sales coun- ters, stickers on the floor to indicate the direction of the tour to be adhered to by visitors, signs to inform visitors about cov- id prevention recommendations, social distancing measures, mandatory mask wearing, the availability of hydroalcohol- ic gel Visitors had to book their trips in advance for some SCN museums. Visitor numbers to the museums and shops were restricted. In order to limit contacts, visi- tors were asked to pay for their purchases by credit card using the contactless pay- ment feature and the distribution of tour aids was suspended. On-site employees were informed and trained to implement the new procedures and personal protec- tive equipment was provided to them.
