BUILDING TOGETHER WITH WOMEN AND MEN
Raising awareness during sustainable development week Every year, awareness raising actions about sustainable development are organized with all employees during the week of the same name. In the spring of 2020, this week also marked the start of a partnership with Eau de Paris as part of its Paris Action Tank for Water with Zero Plastic Waste . The aim is to limit the use of water cylinders by replacing them with drinking water fountains and replacing plastic water bottles and cups with glasses or flasks. This is why the Rmn - Grand Palais distributed flasks to all its employees at the end of 2020. Employees were also invited each day to think about such issues as diversity, digital pollution, paper use but also aquaponic systems, some of which were installed on the roof of the head office and to share their best practices with other employees.
Encouraging diversity and gender equality in the workplace Since 2015, the Rmn Grand Palais has been fully committed to equality and diversity in the workplace. This enabled it to obtain the Diversity and Gender equality in the workplace labels issued by AFNOR in 2018. AFNOR s mid-term audit in 2020 concluded with a positive assessment of the actions car- ried out which must be pursued for all employ- ee categories, both internally and vis-à-vis the public.
Protecting health: safety at work The Rmn - Grand Palais is particularly attentive to the health and safety of its employees at work, especially those in contact with heavy loads or toxic products.
The casting studios have been pursuing a pol- icy for several years now of replacing harmful substances with non-polluting products. For example, white spirit and acetone used for fingerprinting have been replaced by eco-cer- tified products and eco-solvents. In addition, the other materials are mostly of natural ori- gin, with the use of healthy sisal-based plaster (natural oakum), wood for frames, black soap and vegetable oil to insulate plasters, acrylic resin (water, plaster and acrylic) for cast cov- erings, causing no release of toxic steam and the use of less toxic silicones regularly tested by manufacturers.
The Rmn - Grand Palais also implements best practices with its maintenance, upkeep and cleaning providers at its head office, notably by replacing harmful products with products that are more respectful to users and the envi- ronment (eco-labelled products used for clean- ing since 2013) in addition to environmental actions (dosing system, selective sorting carts, water saving equipment, etc.).
