2020, AN UNPRECEDENTED YEAR MARKED BY THE HEALTH CRISIS: A STRONG MOBILIZATION BY THE IS DEPARTMENT
The IS department strongly mobilised during the health crisis to cope with the successive lockdown and unlock- ing situations. The IS department put in place the IT and telecommunication facilities required to ensure continui- ty of operations and ensure that information systems (IS) continued to operate smoothly. This was critical to en- suring that the major IT development projects underway and that could not be deferred went ahead as planned. To respond to this exceptional situation and enable the establishment to continue to carry out its essential activities, the technical services of the IS department made several hundred laptops available to users in a very short lapse of time and provided support through a dedicated remote working support cell. The department ensured that all business infrastructures and applications continued to operate smoothly while implementing new technologies to support the changes and adaptations required to address the closure of our sites and exhibi- tions. Moreover, thanks to the mobilisation of all and the efforts made to adapt to the new working-from-home methods, all the IS Department's business and techni- cal development projects continued to advance almost unscathed and key deadlines were met.
