THE INSTALLATION OF THE TEMPORARY GRAND PALAIS ON THE CHAMP-DE-MARS After preparing the site in the Summer of 2020 (hoarding around the construction site and protection for the existing architecture and plants), assembly work on the Temporary Grand Palais started as planned in September 2020. The frieze-shaped hoarding was designed by illustrator Kera Till in order to inform residents and passers-by about the nature of the project. On September 3, 2021, the impressive central arch of the frame was raised up and installed on the Champ-de-Mars. The assembly of the wooden frame continued and this was then covered by the double layered acoustic mem- brane wrapped around it. The base walls, reception hall and glass façade were installed at the end of 2020.
