GRAND PALAIS IMMERSIF In 2020, the Rmn Grand Palais, the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and VINCI Immobilier created Grand Palais Immersif, a new subsidiary specialised in the production, operation and distribution of digital exhibitions for a French but also international public.
The new structure will have the following missions: design and build immersive digital exhibi-
tions in liaison with museums, audiovisual and multimedia producers and start-ups specialised in digital technologies;
roll out these exhibitions in the renovated Grand Palais in Paris and, pending this, in dedicated venues;
market the exhibitions in various formats both in France and abroad.
Driven by a contemporary and global mo- mentum, the Grand Palais Immersif will pro- mote digital innovation in all its forms: im- mersive scenography, digital engagement, virtual and augmented reality Grand Palais Immersif's ambition is to become a key player in the emerging digital exhibition market by
implementing a highly demanding editorial line that combines the spectacular with sto- rytelling and the passing on of knowledge.
The Rmn Grand Palais will bring its exper- tise in designing and producing quality ex- hibitions to the Grand Palais Immersif. The Rmn Grand Palais sees this new project as a logical continuation to the exhibitions Eternal Sites in 2016 and Pompeii in 2020 which combined original works and a digital environment. The first Grand Palais Immersif exhibition, scheduled for 2022, will comple- ment the outside-the-walls cultural offering developed during the entire Grand Palais closure period.
