SUPPORTING THE REGIONS
A player in the local economy The Rmn - Grand Palais is present all over France through its cultural engineering activities for the benefit of SCN museums or through its shops. Through its missions, it has a role to play in contributing to the economic growth of the regions. Within the legal framework, the Rmn - Grand Palais supports local players in short circuits based near the museums, thus supporting small busi- nesses and limiting carbon emissions. The e-commerce site thus offers more than 150 references of products made in France.
More generally, French and European suppliers are pre- ferred, in compliance with the regulations, in order also to limit the duration of transport of goods. The Rmn - Grand Palais also promotes the grouping of product
manufacturing, assembly and packaging phases as close together as possible. For production made in China, The Rmn - Grand Palais partners with a small number of importers with offices in France and Asia, in order to monitor the process close to the manufacturing facilities. The Rmn - Grand Palais requires the implementation of a quality assurance plan.
Some products are emblematic of this approach to the benefit of the region. In 2020 the Rmn - Grand Palais formed a partnership with the French brand Papier Tigre for the creation of a line of notebooks inspired by the works and architecture of the Musée de l Or- angerie. Made in France, these notebooks enrich the already substantial offer of products made in France in the bookshops and e-shop boutiquesdemusees.fr. On- demand bronzes and resins, which cannot be produced in the studios, are also produced by local players (within
